Or Bondi to Coogee – whichever way you prefer to look at it!
Luckily, after speaking to some locals, we heard that the best way to plan the walk is from Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach, because let’s face it you want to end up on Bondi Beach and by doing the walk in this direction you walk round a corner and get the most spectacular view of this marvellous beach!
Coogee Beach ^
Despite not the best weather on the day we chose to make the walk, the views were really gorgeous and I definitely recommend you do the walk if you’re ever in Sydney!
The walk is approximately 6km in total and takes around 2-3 hours at a nice pace, and takes you round the coast through some lovely bays, like Gordon’s Bay, and beaches like Bronte Beach and Clovelly Beach.
Be sure to stop off for some food or just a nice drink by the pool at Icebergs, just as you come round the corner to Bondi Beach ^.
Luckily the bad morning weather meant there were very few people on Bondi Beach when we arrived, and just as we rounded the corned to get a glimpse of the beach the sun emerged and we had brilliant weather for the rest of the afternoon!
And to top it all off we went for a venture in search of Acai bowls and we were not disappointed with Acai Brothers! (Might in fact be dribbling at the thought right now!)
Anyone done the walk before? Or planning to visit Sydney soon?
